After a year hiatus, Indiana's Grunge/Modern rock band Herbwurm returns to the musical chipping well and gains momentum; adding a new guitarist and making headway on a new, longer sophomore release.
Herbwurm has been relatively quiet for the last few seasons, one of their last shows was accompanied by guitarist/vocalist 'Jaymoe' of the hippy metal phenoms, 'Glostik Willy'; in lieu of former guitarist 'Chris Isaacs' of Indiana's Tasty Hardcore, 'Controvert'.

By the 3rd week of July, Herbwurm was scheduled a show at Waylon's in Marion, IN with Glostik Willy. They were in the midst of discussing and practicing with a few other guitarists and had little to no consistent practice since the fall of last year. They accepted the show on 7/27 and hashed out a set with new guitarist, Austin 'Chancho' Garcia.
Lead act, Austin Mitchell, has been writing a new album since early June while attempting to orchestrate a movement with the band. As there were no intentions of picking up another guitarist; things have been hectic, but rather welcomed. It adds a dynamic of teamwork that can be crucial to developing unique sounds together.
There have been talks of recording processes to begin in the Fall; as for now, you can catch Herbwurm (and some of their new songs) live at these dates! (More TBA)
